We start the day with a visit to a hummingbird reserve, where you’ll experience the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have hummingbirds eat from your hand. Watch as these tiny, colorful birds hover around you, providing a magical moment in the cloud forest.
Next, we head to Mariposas de Mindo, one of Ecuador’s most famous butterfly farms. Here, you can see hundreds of exotic butterflies up close, feed them nectar from your fingers, and learn about their fascinating life cycle.
Mid-morning: Mindo canopy zip-lining adventure
For thrill-seekers, nothing compares to zip-lining through the cloud forest. Glide across multiple canopy lines, soaring over breathtaking jungle landscapes while enjoying panoramic views of Mindo’s lush valleys. With expert guides ensuring safety, this adventure is perfect for all ages.
Late afternoon: Chocolate tour & relaxation
To finish our adventure, we’ll visit a local chocolate factory, where you’ll discover the process of making organic Ecuadorian chocolate from cacao bean to bar. Enjoy delicious chocolate tastings, sample locally grown coffee, and learn why Ecuador produces some of the world’s best cacao.
If time permits, we can explore Mindo’s charming town center, grab a fresh juice or coffee, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere before heading back to Quito.
