5 Day Amazon Adventure Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Napo Wildlife Center and Introduction to Yasuní

After a scenic flight and transfer, embark on a two-hour boat ride along the Napo River to the Napo Wildlife Center, where you’ll experience tranquil canoe rides through the jungle. Upon arrival, enjoy stunning views of Añangucocha Lagoon, followed by a welcome drink and an introduction to your upcoming Amazon adventure in the heart of Yasuní National Park.

Day 2: Parrot Salt Licks and Kichwa Culture

The day starts early with a visit to the accessible parrot salt licks, where guests can observe up to five species of parrots, parakeets, and macaws. Afterward, explore the Kichwa Interpretation Center "Kuri Muyu" to learn about the local culture, traditions, and crafts, followed by a hike to another salt lick. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride back to the lodge, with opportunities to spot more wildlife before a delicious dinner.

Day 3: Canopy Exploration and Wildlife Encounters

After a delicious breakfast, embark on an exciting dawn walk to a 36-meter observation tower in the forest canopy, offering panoramic views and an up-close look at diverse wildlife, including colorful birds, monkeys, and macaws. Following lunch, explore a terra firme forest in search of the Golden-mantled Tamarin monkeys, then enjoy a canoe ride on the nearby lake, with hopes of spotting giant otters. End the day with a night hike, discovering nocturnal creatures like insects, reptiles, and monkeys.

Day 4: Wildlife Exploration and Canoe Adventure

Today, venture onto designated trails through terra firme and swamp forests in search of wildlife like golden-mantled tamarins, capuchin monkeys, and sloths. After a delicious lunch and rest at the eco-lodge, embark on a rowing canoe journey into deeper streams, offering unique wildlife sightings and an immersive Amazon experience. Return to the lodge to relax and enjoy the tranquility amidst the rich biodiversity of the Ecuadorian jungle.

Day 5: Return Journey

We will depart early, heading back to the welcome area and transitioning to the motorboat. Enjoy the serene sounds of nature as the sunrise illuminates the landscape along the Añangu stream. Afterward, we’ll transfer to the motorized boat for the return trip to Coca, where we will check in for our flight back to Quito, with the flight schedule based on airline arrangements.
