Itinerary
At 08:00 AM we pick you up in Quito and head towards Pichincha volcano where we climb to the near top in a 4x4 vehicle. Our biking adventure begins near the summit of the still-active Guagua Pichincha Volcano. The views here are absolutely breathtaking. On a clear day, you can look east to see the sprawling city of Quito framed by numerous snow-capped volcanoes. To the north, south, and west, you’ll be greeted by vast stretches of páramo—a unique high-altitude tundra-like ecosystem.
From this vantage point, we’ll hike to the crater's edge, where you can peer into the pulsing, sulfuric heart of this rumbling, active volcano. How many people can say they've walked on the edge of a live crater?
After soaking in this once-in-a-lifetime experience, we’ll hop on our bikes and begin a thrilling descent toward Lloa on an abandoned dirt road. The ride is exhilarating and guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping—perfect for those who love adventure!
In Lloa, a charming and traditional Andean village, we’ll enjoy a delicious homemade box lunch to recharge. Once we’ve had our fill, we’ll continue westward into the lush cloud forest, where the vibrant greenery and flourishing ecosystem await.
After a day filled with incredible views, unforgettable experiences, and thrilling adventures, we’ll return to Quito with the greatest of memories.
