5 DAY ADVENTURE ITINERARY

Day 1: Cotopaxi National Park Bike Tour
Start your adventure with a scenic drive from Quito to Cotopaxi National Park, where you’ll reach the highest point of the circuit at 4,800 meters (15,000 feet). After exploring the visitor center, enjoy biking through the plains at the base of the volcano on single tracks over a mix of ash and páramo. We’ll take you to a freshwater spring where you can enjoy some of the freshest, most delicious water you’ve ever drunk! Experience breathtaking views and the chance to spot condors. The ride ends at Lake Limpiopungo, followed by a relaxing drive to Ambato for the night.

Day 2: Chimborazo Volcano Bike Tour
Embark on an unforgettable journey to Mount Chimborazo, Ecuador’s highest mountain and the highest point in the world measured from the center of the earth. From the Edgar Whymper Refuge at 5,000 meters (16,400 feet), cycle down through breathtaking highland scenery, spotting vicuñas along the way. After a 20km ride through snow-capped peaks and rural Andean fields, you’ll arrive in Ambato, from where you’ll return to Quito by jeep.

Day 3: Baños Cloud Forest and return to Quito

After breakfast, head to the mountain east of town for thrilling activities like a giant swing, zip-line biking, and a treehouse with spectacular views. Begin an exhilarating descent through winding roads and breathtaking scenery to Puyo. Visit El Pailón del Diablo, an incredible waterfall offering an up-close (and wet!) experience. Cycle along the Avenue of the Orchids, noting the dramatic changes in temperature and vegetation as you enter the Amazon Basin.

Day 4: Misahualli and return to Quito

After sleeping at Sinchi Warmi, a hotel run by Quechua women offering a unique blend of traditional culture and modern comfort, explore the Amazon by sailing up the Napo River to Cayman Island, where you will feed the caimans and witness the traditional chocolate-making process with the Quechua community. We will hike through the jungle and return to the hotel.

Day 5: Return to the Andes via Papallacta

We start the day by riding up the Andes to the Guaguamayos Pass. From there, we cycle down to the foothills of the Andes to the town of Baeza, where we have a picnic lunch. Then we cycle up to Papallacta to relax in the hot springs. Refreshed, we cycle back to Quito along the Chiche River basin, covering 45 kilometres of stunning descents. The last 12 kilometres pass through five tunnels on the famous railway line, with spectacular views of the paramo and rainforest. After the ride, we return to Quito by jeep.
